Finally our blog is made public!!!

Welcome to 'MASTERCRAFT' blog. Before you read the post, do read the welcome message & about us on the left sidebar.
"Susegado" is an exotic word used by the people of Goa (Goans) to describe their way of life, which is easy going. This lifestyle applies to my family too. I’ve been waiting for pictures of craft creations from home since Dec. & am still waiting…..So, Helga & I decided to photograph stuff made by my mum & Loretta that we both have so this blog could be made public. So here goes………….

A poppy corsage by Martha

Materials used: stocking, wire, pollens, cotton (to stuff the centre) green stem tape & glue
.........................

A crochet skirt by Loretta

Materials used: crochet thread, lining fabric & elastic at the waist.
The stitchs used here are chain (ch) & double crochet (dc) throughout
.........................

A Barbie cake by Helga

Ingredients/materials used: homemade chocolate cake, butter icing, silver dragées, star icing tip, dolly varden cake pan, Barbie doll
Helga made this for her daughter Kaitlyn’s first birthday.
.........................

Another doll cake by Leanne

Ingredients/materials used: homemade marble cake, butter icing, silver dragées, star icing tip, pudding mould, doll

I made this for my daughter Alisha's first birthday. It was the first time I decorated a cake & I can still recall my husband's anxiety the day I was making it 16 yrs ago. He kept asking me if he should order for a cake, if I would manage etc. etc.

Humpty Dumpty fancy dress costume by Leanne

Materials used: Pliable wire mesh (for the base), newspapers (to cover the mesh, fabric, buttons & fabric paint (for HD’s outfit & head, card stock, strip of fabric, feathers (hat) & glue gun.
The little one peeping through is Alisha, 2 ½ years old then, and wearing black pants. HD was resting on her shoulders inside with the aid of two straps of thick fabric.
I had another pic of HD having a great fall, but it’s not in the album anymore.  The fancy dress competition this was made for had just one prize, which was taken by my son. HD was also used for a game when I had HD theme birthday party. The game was to aim 3 balls into HD’s mouth & the one that aimed the most was the winner. HD’s final destination was at the kids Montessori school where other kids had fun with it.
.........................

I hope you liked our creations. We have a lot more to share. We have also been considering on having a monthly linky party for 3D crafts only. I would appreciate your valuable opinions.
Thank you.

So many projects here to enjoy .Your idea of a 3D only linky party /challenge blog sounds interesting .They can be created as CAS cards or as intricate as you like . Then of course lots of craftys use 3D a lot on their scrap pages too .
Good luck with it any way I'll be on the lookout for it believe me !
